This is a good cruncher to use on ANY C64 program that will start with the RUN command. It has been included for crunching those ".S64" files.
LOAD and Run the cruncher.
The initial screen allows you to choose the drives that you want to use. The default is #8. Just press the F7 key to go to the cruncher.
After you have pressed the F7 key, you will be presented with additional info screen. The cursor will be flashing at the READY prompt, at the bottom. Just LOAD your archived .S64 file (,8) and it will LOAD into memory. After the file has LOADed, the cruncher will automatically begin.
When the cruncher has finished, you will be prompted for a filename. Enter the name that you want your finished file to have. It must be different that the original name for the source file. Don't forget to add the ".S64" suffix if you are crunching a Self Dissolving File archive. This program does not automatically add the .S64 suffix.
The file will be SAVEd to the disk.
The cruncher initial screen will come back on, in case you want to do another file. If you don't, just reset your C64.
That's all there is to using this cruncher. The cruncher isn't the fastest, but it crunches VERY well and uncrunches (when you run the finished file) VERY fast!
